We Got Our Butts Kicked!

There’s no other way to put it. The Tampa Bay Rays gave quite a beating to the Red Sox today 12-4. Bowden got smacked around a bit, but on a good note, he kept the ball down in the zone and didn’t let up any homers. Baldelli went 1-2 and Ellsbury picked up his first hit of Spring Training.

The rest of the line-up was mostly youngsters for this game, though Youkilis took some at bats and Lowrie took some AB’s as well.

We used a very thin staff today with Zink being the only pitcher (to my knowledge) to make a start in 2008 besides Bowden (each made one). So don’t fret too much Sox and Yankees fans.

For any Tampa Bay fans (though you are few and far between), Longoria went deep today driving in two runs and Bartlett was quite a pest for the young Red Sox pitching staff, driving in 3 runs on a 2-3 day.
